Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. Ellie Goulding, a British musician and singer who gained fame in 2010, when her smash songs Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed received a lot of attention from the media. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding's soprano quirk and ability to write catchy but emotionally sincere songs puts her in the forefront of modern mainstream music, along with an independent and artful pop.
